Alex Iversen of FireMon Named to CRN’s 2021 Women of the Channel List

Dallas, Texas | May 10, 2021 | FireMon, the leading network security policy management company that brings visibility, control, agility, and automation to enterprise cloud and hybrid network infrastructure, today announced that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Alex Iversen, Director of Channel Marketing at FireMon, to the highly respected Women of the Channel list for 2021. This annual list recognizes the unique strengths, vision, and achievements of female leaders in the IT channel. The 2021 Women of the Channel list acknowledges women from all over the IT channel, including vendors, distributors, and solution providers.

The women honored on this year’s list pushed forward with comprehensive business plans, marketing initiatives, and other innovative ideas to support their partners and customers, helping them through the uncertainty brought on by the global COVID-19 pandemic. CRN celebrates these exceptional women for their leadership, dedication, and channel advocacy.

Iversen has more than a decade of experience driving growth through the channel and has been with FireMon for more than five years. FireMon is a 100 percent channel company, with Iversen being instrumental in building an all-star team to drive growth in this critically important business segment.

Her versatility and determination have driven the FireMon Ignite partner program and operations to new heights. She played a key role in integrating the FireMon channel strategy throughout the organization, including Field Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Technology Partnerships.  Over the past year, Iversen has engaged with field sales and business development representatives alongside the channel in an integrated program to drive opportunities from the highest priority target accounts of FireMon. She also developed a new SPIFF (short-term incentive) program that helped drive the more technical aspects of Ignite and piloted a direct mail program to and with the 500 FireMon channel partners.

“CRN’s 2021 Women of the Channel list acknowledges accomplished, influential women whose dedication, hard work, and leadership accelerate channel growth,” said Blaine Raddon, CEO of The Channel Company. “We are proud to honor them for their many accomplishments and look forward to their continued contributions to the IT channel.”

“Thanks to Iversen and her team in integrating the channel into all facets of the FireMon go to market, we continue to enable our partners to find new business and deliver lasting customer value around security agility, visibility, and compliance,” said Andrew Warren, Vice President of Global Channel Sales at FireMon.

Iversen, who was also recently awarded the FireMon Marketing Excellence Award, said that the driving force behind the organization’s progress over the past year was in part due to her team’s early adoption of virtual events and targeted account-based strategies.

“The pandemic forced us to think creatively about how we build and nurture partner, customer, and prospect relationships,” said Iversen.   “This year alone, we’ve produced more than 50 targeted virtual events, allowing us to interact with thousands of the people and organizations that are most important to our continued success.”

As FireMon takes its acclaimed Ignite Partner program to the next level, Iversen will launch new tools and opportunities for joint business development, enabling partners to become self-sufficient and to close more business.  The expanded Ignite program will also integrate more solutions, especially those from key FireMon technology partners.

“My major goals for 2021 will be to help our partners go to market with our newest cloud solutions, improve partner technical and sales skills, and increase the amount of recurring revenue going through the partners following our recent Path To Platinum relaunch of Ignite,” she said.

The 2021 Women of the Channel list will be featured in CRN Magazine on May 10th and online at www.CRN.com/WOTC.
