Device Engineer

The qualified candidate will work with Product Management and other Engineers to design, develop and maintain network device integration software.

The primary focus of this position is to develop support for emerging next generation technologies in the networking security space. The engineer will develop device integration solutions for products from Palo Alto, Juniper, Checkpoint etc.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for gathering all the technical requirements for integrating with the security devices. This includes reading administrator guides, user guides, CLI guides etc.
  • Responsible for learning the inner workings of the security device and converting that logic into a structure that the application can use.

Required Skills

  • Scripting expertise in one of the following: BASH, Python, Perl.
  • Linux and general command-line experience.
  • Extremely strong core Java coding skills, including an understanding of optimization, performance ramifications of coding decisions and object-oriented design.
  • Experience with and working knowledge of Hibernate/JPA, SQL, JUnit, DBUnit, Maven, JAXB, XML/XSLT, RESTful web services and log4j preferred.
  • Expertise in the area of networking (Cisco, Juniper, Check Point, Palo Alto, etc.)
  • XML / XSD Design experience.
  • Regex expertise.
  • Outstanding problem solving skills. Someone that is able to pick apart software, analyze it and become a subject matter expert on it.
  • Must be willing to work in a fast paced environment with multiple roles, and demonstrate high emotional intelligence.

Preferred Skills

  • Cisco, Check Point, Juniper expertise preferred but any firewall technology is acceptable.

Network/Security Engineer

The successful candidate will work with Product Management, Development and other Engineers to install and support firewall management solutions for internal research and development (R&D).

The primary focus of this position is to provide technical expertise during the application development process to support products and solutions from a range of vendors including firewalls, routers, switches, IPS, proxies and more. The NE will build and maintain test labs, assist in software design, provide technical assistance to developers and assist in testing software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for gathering all the technical requirements for integrating with the security devices.
  • Work, in conjunction with product managers, architects and developers in the scheduling, architecting, and design of the software integration with the security devices.
  • Setup, manage, and maintain security devices in the test lab to provide support for R&D and integration testing.
  • Help create and execute test cases to ensure proper code functionality within the application.
  • Serve as a support escalation point for complex support issues involving device integration.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of network design and support.
  • Expertise in the area of networking.
  • Experience with packet trace and analysis techniques and tools.
  • Experience with network security tools such as firewalls, IPS, routers, switches, proxies, etc.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies and platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and writing skills.

Quality Assurance Engineer

The successful candidate will have experience in quality assurance on windows client applications, core backend services as well as java based customer facing user interfaces. The candidate will be expected to provide ownership of work planning, automation, test plans and other QA activities. The candidate will work with product and software teams to define and execute test plans, increase automation and prioritize, plan and execute team roadmaps. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on technically oriented QA Engineer.

Qualified candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a desire to work on team oriented, cutting edge, customer-focused technical projects.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure each product release meets well defined high quality standards.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, create and maintain robust test cases, test scripts, and test data through in-depth analysis of the requirements.
  • Derive and develop automated test cases using various scripting languages.
  • Execute test cases, analyze and document results, report and track bugs, verify and validate fixes, and work with development team to resolve issues.
  • Engage in the test environment, hw/sw configuration, setup and maintenance.
  • Identify and suggest new policies, procedures, processes that are essential and/or critical to ensure high quality product releases.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
  • Experience in Linux or Unix. CentOS experience a plus.
  • Experience with SQL and proven ability to create your own test data using SQL or scripts.
  • Scripting experience and active knowledge of Shell, Perl, Python or equivalent.
  • Experience and understanding of software development, including waterfall or agile methodologies.
  • Experience testing in a VM environment including creating your own VMs for testing purposes.
  • Experience developing and maintaining test automation scripts to increase automation coverage.
  • Experience with participating in design and specification reviews followed by the development of accompanying test plans.

Regional Sales Manager

Responsible for selling FireMon products and services in their respective region. Must have a proven track record of quota attainment and excellent references. Must be a self starter and a strong closer.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business within the region and develop strategic accounts.
  • Understand how to effectively work in a channel sales model.
  • Attend and participate in tradeshows as necessary.
  • Help to identify market and product requirements based on field experience.
  • Work as part of a sales team toward reaching quarterly territory sales quota.

Qualifications / Necessary Skills

  • 3-5 years Major Account Management experience; requires strong selling skills into major account with an understanding of large business organizations and their buying cycles.
  • 3-5 years selling security and network/Internet Protocol-related applications.
  • Strong technical and non-technical communication skills, including strong verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.

We are seeking an experienced software/systems engineer/developer with proven success very good experience in designing, developing, and maintaining object-oriented, multi-tiered systems using Java/J2EE and other development platforms.

  • Participate with business and engineering team members in the development of new software projects.
  • Develop application specifications and designs which are scalable, extensible, maintainable and testable.
  • Work in a top to bottom environment developing in the UI, application server and database.

Software Support Engineer

Looking for a team member with network and client-server troubleshooting skills who works efficiently. The ideal candidate has command line experience, works well with people, and is comfortable working alone during the EMEA business day. User Interface Engineer

The qualified candidate will work with Product Management, Development and other Engineers to install and support firewall management solutions for internal research and development (R&D).

The primary focus of this position is to work on a web application for a next-generation Big-Data analytics platform that leverages jQuery, AngularJS and Twitter Bootstrap. The UIE will work with product management to design, prototype, develop and support multiple web applications including a SaaS based platform.

Required Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and writing skills.
  • Outstanding problem solving skills, including the ability to meet a business requirement with a technical solution.
  • Must be willing to work in a fast paced environment with multiple roles, and demonstrate high emotional intelligence.
