Business Development Representative

The primary objective of the Business Development Representative (BDR) is to identify and qualify sales opportunities for FireMon’s sales organization. BDRs engage in conversations with key individuals at Fortune 2000 companies to determine if they may be a good fit to work with us. After researching potential contacts using sales intelligence and social selling tools, we spend time on the phone with prospective clients to discover their business challenges, identify their requirements, and help to connect them with the appropriate FireMon sales resource.

Responsibilities

    0-6 Months

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of FireMon solutions, industry trends, and competition
  • Learn, practice and utilize key FireMon messaging in your daily interactions with prospective clients
  • Learn the tools necessary to be successful: CRM (NetSuite), sales and marketing intelligence (RainKing, Pardot, LinkedIn), web presentation tools (GoToMeeting), call flow documents, etc.
  • Build relationships with your sales team counterparts – Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Sales Engineers, Channel Managers, and Marketing
  • Conduct pre-call research to gather company and contact intelligence
  • Make daily outbound calls and send targeted emails to prospects to initiate and nurture meaningful business relationships and to uncover new opportunities
  • Ask purposeful questions and listen attentively to prospects to identify key business issues and drivers
  • Consistently meet goals for lead qualification and new opportunity creation
    6-18 Months

Channel Manager

Responsible for recruiting and managing new and existing channel partners. Effectively find new resellers that focus on the mid-large market, train, support and develop their business. Work in tandem with channel partners to drive end user demand across FireMon’s solution portfolio through focused account coverage that will facilitate growth of the territory bookings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business through engagement of optimal resellers.
  • Build channel business by recruiting new channel partners.
  • Support partners by conducting joint user meetings, training, seminars, education and presentations.

Device Engineer

The qualified candidate will work with Product Management and other Engineers to design, develop and maintain network device integration software.

The primary focus of this position is to develop support for emerging next generation technologies in the networking security space. The engineer will develop device integration solutions for products from Palo Alto, Juniper, Checkpoint etc.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for gathering all the technical requirements for integrating with the security devices. This includes reading administrator guides, user guides, CLI guides etc.
  • Responsible for learning the inner workings of the security device and converting that logic into a structure that the application can use.

Required Skills

  • Scripting expertise in one of the following: BASH, Python, Perl.
  • Linux and general command-line experience.
  • Extremely strong core Java coding skills, including an understanding of optimization, performance ramifications of coding decisions and object-oriented design.
  • Experience with and working knowledge of Hibernate/JPA, SQL, JUnit, DBUnit, Maven, JAXB, XML/XSLT, RESTful web services and log4j preferred.
  • Expertise in the area of networking (Cisco, Juniper, Check Point, Palo Alto, etc.)

Network/Security Engineer

The successful candidate will work with Product Management, Development and other Engineers to install and support firewall management solutions for internal research and development (R&D).

The primary focus of this position is to provide technical expertise during the application development process to support products and solutions from a range of vendors including firewalls, routers, switches, IPS, proxies and more. The NE will build and maintain test labs, assist in software design, provide technical assistance to developers and assist in testing software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for gathering all the technical requirements for integrating with the security devices.
  • Work, in conjunction with product managers, architects and developers in the scheduling, architecting, and design of the software integration with the security devices.
  • Setup, manage, and maintain security devices in the test lab to provide support for R&D and integration testing.
  • Help create and execute test cases to ensure proper code functionality within the application.
  • Serve as a support escalation point for complex support issues involving device integration.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of network design and support.
  • Expertise in the area of networking.
  • Experience with packet trace and analysis techniques and tools.
  • Experience with network security tools such as firewalls, IPS, routers, switches, proxies, etc.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies and platforms.

Quality Assurance Engineer

The successful candidate will have experience in quality assurance on windows client applications, core backend services as well as java based customer facing user interfaces. The candidate will be expected to provide ownership of work planning, automation, test plans and other QA activities. The candidate will work with product and software teams to define and execute test plans, increase automation and prioritize, plan and execute team roadmaps. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on technically oriented QA Engineer.

Qualified candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a desire to work on team oriented, cutting edge, customer-focused technical projects.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure each product release meets well defined high quality standards.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, create and maintain robust test cases, test scripts, and test data through in-depth analysis of the requirements.
  • Derive and develop automated test cases using various scripting languages.
  • Execute test cases, analyze and document results, report and track bugs, verify and validate fixes, and work with development team to resolve issues.
  • Engage in the test environment, hw/sw configuration, setup and maintenance.

Required Experience

Software Engineer

The primary focus of this position is to develop support for emerging next generation technologies in the networking security space. We are seeking an experienced software/systems engineer/developer with proven success very good experience in designing, developing, and maintaining object-oriented, multi-tiered systems using Java/J2EE and other development platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Participate with business and engineering team members in the development of new software projects.
  • Develop application specifications and designs which are scalable, extensible, maintainable and testable.
  • Work in a top to bottom environment developing in the UI, application server and database.

User Interface Engineer

The qualified candidate will work with Product Management, Development and other Engineers to install and support firewall management solutions for internal research and development (R&D).

The primary focus of this position is to work on a web application for a next-generation Big-Data analytics platform that leverages jQuery, AngularJS and Twitter Bootstrap. The UIE will work with product management to design, prototype, develop and support multiple web applications including a SaaS based platform.
