We had a great show in Vancouver this week for the annual Palo Alto Networks Ignite conference. We always value the time spent in the field where we can hear directly from our customers and others in the industry about the challenges they face in optimizing security for today’s threats and business processes. It’s essential to progressing our solutions.
The big buzz of the conference was the announcement of the Palo Alto Networks Application Framework. FireMon is excited to be a committed developer for the framework, which will make it easier for customer to quickly adopt and deploy security applications from the cloud.
From their announcement: “Now, customers can embrace the technology they need to keep up with the ever-changing threat landscape, not make security decisions based on the typically large upfront ROI risk and cost of deploying and managing new hardware.”
As a part of the community of developers that help deliver on the promise of the framework, we will work closely with leading cloud-based security data models to ensure customers have timely access to high value security data to improve their threat detection and response capabilities.
The first iteration of this is the integration of our Immediate Insight platform with Palo Alto Networks AutoFocus, a contextual threat intelligence service that enables threat analytics and hunting for security teams and will be a part of the Application Framework when it is released. The integration helps orchestrate data assembly for security analysis, significantly streamlining and scaling threat investigation efforts.
