FireMon, the leading provider of security management and risk analysis solutions, today announced that for the second consecutive year, Vice President of Channels Todd DeBell has been named one of UBM Tech Channel’s CRN Channel Chiefs. This prestigious list of the most influential and powerful leaders in the IT channel recognizes those executives directly responsible for driving channel sales and growth within their organization.
The announcement was made in conjunction with the RSA Conference, where FireMon recognized several partners during its second annual Ignite Partner Awards. FireMon named FishNet Security its Top National Partner for Growth and Revenue; Accunet Solutions its Top Regional Partner for Growth and Revenue; SOS Security its New Product Partner; DirSec its Channel Partner Rookie of the Year; and Accuvant its Channel Innovator.
“I am humbled to be named among the industry’s top channel executives. But as the other CRN 2013 Channel Chiefs well know, the foundation of any truly successful channel program is an innovative, thriving, customer-centric partner community,” said DeBell. “We implemented several new elements to improve partner engagement and foster channel success including richer deal registration, tier realignment and expanded training enablement. And I want to congratulate our partner award winners and thank the entire FireMon channel community for helping make 2012 a record-setting year.”
FireMon’s multitiered Ignite Partner Program is designed to quickly cultivate mutually beneficial relationships that are an extension of the company. FireMon’s flagship Security Manager helps channel partners go-to-market faster, more effectively grow their cybersecurity businesses, and rapidly deliver strategic, high-value solutions and services to customers. Featuring continuous assessment, best practice modeling and business process standardization, the recently released Security Manager Version 7.0 is the first security and policy management platform to support the OMG’s BPMN 2.0 standard.
“We are honored to be named an award winner, and energized by the momentum we’ve achieved in partnership with FireMon,” said Alan Dumas, Founder and President of Accunet Solutions. “Over the past year, we’ve trained our entire team on Security Manager and seen tremendous results at customer sites in cleaning up firewall rules and policies, prioritizing remediation activities and implementing effective risk management strategies. We look forward to another successful year.”
“We have experienced, firsthand, the technical strength and innovation of FireMon, and are honored to be recognized as an award winner,” said John Marler, CTO of SOS Security, a division of Forsythe. “We are excited by the prospect of continuing to develop our relationship with FireMon in 2013 and beyond.”
For over ten years, Channel Chiefs were selected by the CRN editorial team based on channel experience, program innovations, channel-driven revenue, and public support for the importance of IT Channel Sales.
“The 2013 Channel Chiefs list recognizes vendor executives dedicated to driving channel programs in the IT marketplace,” said Kelley Damore, Senior Vice President, Editorial Director at CRN. “Our annual Channel Chiefs issue is a must-read for IT solution providers evaluating new vendors or looking to expand solution offerings. These are the people, the products and the programs that any savvy solution provider needs to know. We congratulate this year’s Channel Chiefs for their stellar record of business innovation and applaud them for their continued dedication to the partner community.”
